In 2003 jB+a designed Suwanee’s Town Center Park. The interactive fountain, an integral part of the master plan, was not implemented in the 2003 construction. In 2005 the City of Suwanee commissioned jB+a to design and help implement the fountain. Designed in the spirit of Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park fountain, Suwanee’s interactive fountain is located at the south edge of the 10 acre Town Center Park across from the future City Hall complex. Entirely controlled and choreographed by computer, the 4,000 square foot fountain features a series of individual vertical jets arranged concentrically around a center main jet that is capable of producing a twenty foot high column of water. This key design feature is destined to become one of the City’s signature landmarks and helps support the cities desire to provide the community with a family oriented destination.
