Gwinnett County added 94 acres to Lenora Park to create an improved 178 acre community park that was master planned by the jB+a Park Design Studio. The character of the park’s equestrian landscape is extended with open green space and trails as well as a number of
new primary facilities. An area of the new acreage for the park includes an existing tree nursery from which trees will be transplanted throughout the park site. Many of the trees in the farm will remain in place to form a tree grove adjacent to one of the new picnic and playground areas in the park, creating a unique landscape setting for picnics and gatherings. The first phase facilities
include an outdoor family leisure pool, community center, football complex and an expanded multi-use trail system. Other elements of the plan include a skate park, a dog park, tennis courts and a four-field soccer complex.
