garrard landing river park

The jB+a Park Design Studio worked with the City of Roswell Parks Department to develop the Master Plan and Design Development plan for Garrard Landing River Park on the Chattahoochee River. This park serves as the put-in point for canoes and kayaks to paddle the river route from Garrard Landing to Don White Park. The park also includes a walking/jogging trail, picnic facilities, a playground, two rest room buildings-one with a changing station, parking areas and open grass meadows. The park design is sensitive to the environmentally protected areas of the Chattahoochee Corridor. It responds to the regulatory requirements of the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Corp of Engineers, the National Park Service and the City of Roswell. The jB+a Park Design Studio worked with each of these groups to insure that the park design met the needs of the park users without negatively impacted the protected buffers of the Chattahoochee River.
