The jB+a Park Design Studio is working with the Parks and Cultural Affairs Department of Cobb County and grass-roots group of area citizens to develop a park that combines environmental education facilities with a center for the creation of art.

The majority of the park site is located in wetland or floodplain in an environmentally diverse setting. The purpose of the park and arts center is to link the artist facilities with outdoor spaces to inspire park visitors and artists alike. The park facility program includes the arts center, sculpture garden, amphitheater, wetland interpretive trails and open meadows.

The land for the park was obtained by the grass-roots group which raised donations to purchase it and remain involved with all phases of its development along with the Parks and Cultural Affairs Department.
