Deer Lick Park is an existing Douglas County park located Off Highway 92 in southwest Douglasville, Georgia. Through Douglas County’s 2002 SPLOST program, the county funded the acquisition of the adjacent 40-acre Eagle Golf Course property and a series of renovation projects on the existing park. jB+a
was commissioned to provide master planning for both parcels, as well as produce contract documents for phase one of the master plan. Renovation of the existing park includes improvements to the stormwater system, additional parking and improvements to the
existing trail system. Design for the new skate park facility was developed using community and user group input. Elements master planned for the new property include a senior center, maintenance facility, four soccer fields, a roller hockey park, a BMX bicycle facility, playground and supporting parking. Phase I improvements include renovations of the existing dam.
