The Bethesda park expansion represents Gwinnett County’s ongoing development of parks under their 2002 county wide masterplan. The southern expansion of Bethesda Park includes several components that broaden the recreational opportunities at the existing active park. The primary focus of the expansion was the development of an Aquatic Center. In addition to the new Aquatic Center, football fields, the extension of the trail system and the development of a playground and picnic area were also implemented. jB+a provided site design refinement based on the approved masterplan as well as provided landscape contract documents for the Aquatic Center and remaining site components of the project including a football field, playground/picnic areas and trail areas.
