Wyngate is a 158-unit high end residential townhome development in Cumming, Georgia. jB+a worked with Centex Homes, one of the nations largest homebuilders, to design the entrance and amenities for the development. Construction document plans included hardscape and landscape plans. The curved entrance monuments and serpentine bed lines coax residents down a densely landscaped and tree-lined drive. Entrance gates repeat the curvilinear form. Flowering trees and shrubs punctuate the landscape with color, while ornamental grasses and broad leaved plants add textural changes and soften hard edges. The formal elliptical shaped pool in the amenity area repeats the elliptical lawn area at the front of the pool pavilion. Flowering trees frame the entrance to the pool and stately maples frame the view to the amenity area. Evergreen shrubs serve as a back bone to the pool area.
