dobbs elementary school

John Wesley Dobbs Elementary is located on the site of the former Fulton High School on Jonesboro Road in the Thomasville area of Atlanta. The existing school building was totally raised to make way for the 29,000 square foot elementary school, that will replace the existing Wesley Dobbs Elementary School located on Lewis Road. 18-acres were regraded to provide a large multi-use field on the north side of the building and a baseball field on the south side. Utilizing plant material required by the City of Atlanta’s tree ordinance jB+a proposed street tree planting around most of the site and revegetation of the slopes at the perimeter of the site. Working for Urban Engineers Inc., jB+a provided tree protection plans as well as final planting plans for the project that is currently under construction.
